Consultant, exhibitions designer and technical adviser for PaleBlueDot, Martin is currently working on a variety of projects at the University of Oxford.

Martin is an exceptional and diversely talented visual artist. In 2004 he completed an MA in experimental printmaking at Wimbledon College of Arts, with distinction.  He is an example of someone who has not allowed himself to be pigeon holed into a particular artistic discipline.  He specialises in fine art print and graphic arts including multi-format print and book work but also practices drawing and sculpture.  His work is held in public and private collections including Ernst & Young, London.

As an educator Martin encourages students to be equally diverse in their pursuit of avenues of enquiry to promote creative and independent thinking.   Martin was a Programme Leader in Art and Design for Activate Learning.  He ran the Foundation in Art and Design at Banbury & Bicester College and lectured in Fine on FE and HE courses run by Banbury & Bicester, Oxford Brookes and De Montfort University.

During 2014 Martin decided that the work of his students at Banbury & Bicester College needed more exposure and the local community more opportunity to connect with the College. He initiated We’re Here Now! – collaborating with Cherwell District Council, Castle Quay Shopping Centre and staff and students from college to install exhibitions and workshops in empty shops in the shopping centre.  We’re Here Now! was a month long festival of art & design, and a completely new approach to showcasing students’ work.

We’re Here Now! was a run-away success attracting over 2000 people in 4 weeks.  Local people, of all ages, demonstrated their enthusiasm for the exhibitions, the exhibition shop and the creative workshops.
